I embarrass myself.

I totally stole this title from my sister's blog. But that's not why I'm embarrassed.

Ahem.

I have something a bit shocking to confess.

Sommmmmetimes ... when the moon is aligned just right with the stars and the air is a certain pressure and the chemicals in my brain get a little jumbled up ... I might say something without ... ummm ... thinking.

You know, something kind of stupid that I reeeeeeeeeeeeeally wish I wouldn't have said.

Yeah, and actually ... this happens pretty often. You're shocked, right? I knew it :-).

So, the week before last when we were in Kansas visiting my grandparents, I had one of these {not so} graceful moments when the words flew right out of my mouth before I could catch them. Although it turned out to be pretty funny in the end, it was a bit on the embarrassing side.

Chris was relating a story to my aunt, uncle, cousin, cousin-in-law, and grandparents. While giving a bit of background info for the story, he said, "We were going to our birthing classes - which, by the way, were the worst experience of our lives..." to which I promptly blurted out, "No honey, I think the way we got pregnant was the worst experience of our lives."

Ooops.

As soon as I said it, I knew that it didn't sound right. Everyone in the room knew our situation, but in a different crowd that could have been really bad! It certainly made for a good laugh!

For me, it was a pretty funny moment when I realized that in my delusional mind, there is absolutely no correlation between something "fun" or "enjoyable" and getting pregnant. I guess had temporarily forgotten that not everyone gets pregnant propped up on a table in a doctor's office.

This mouth of mine... it gets me every time!

*sigh*
