Hi, friends! I hope you are all doing well. We're over here still plugging along. Chris is still working from home, the kids are still schooling at home, and we're still not really going in public for any reason. Welcome to 2020, haha.
One thing that has changed over the past several weeks is that we are *sort-of* back to meeting with the church on the Lord's Day. We aren't meeting inside our building, but in the parking lot in our vehicles instead. We all sing together, listen to the sermon through a radio station broadcast, partake of the Lord's Supper, give, and pray . . . we just do it from a distance. It's been wonderful to visit from our vehicles, wave, and smile at each other.
On the not so wonderful side of things has been school. Y'all distance learning has been hard. Really hard. My kiddos hate it. There are so many platforms being used that it makes everything a mess and super-confusing. I think between all my kids, they have five different programs or platforms that they have to use. There have been many frustrations and even more tears, and it's been harder than I ever thought it would be. We had such a great time learning when I was doing themed units (after spring break but before we began distance learning on April 6th), and I felt like it was going beautifully. What we are doing now is not beautiful and many days it's not even pleasant. When I have a child who lays out on the kitchen floor crying because school is the very last thing they want to do, that's a problem for me (and for my hubby who is trying to work from home!). The pics below are from when we did a unit on flight a few weeks ago . . . before we had to start distance learning!

We made these kites, and they were so much fun!
This airplane was also a ton of fun!
Through it all, we're hanging in there and still plugging along. Just a few more weeks, and we're done with distance learning for a while!
