On the MOVE *again*!

This is a photo of me with my Pappy when I was a little over 4 months old:

Here is Brianna with Pappy when she was a little over 4 months old:

Notice the lamp is the exact same :-). You can't see it in this pic, but the table, candy dish, and coaster from the photo with me are all the same, too. Love it!

But that is not the point of this post...

The point of this post is to say that we love our Pappy, and that is why we are participating in the 2010 Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Association once again.

Pappy has Alzheimer's. He has had it for about 10 years. It is slowly but surely taking his mind.

Pappy was an incredibly intelligent man. He was a successful business owner, a church leader, and a carpenter that built the house they still live in with his own two hands. He was quit-witted... always making everyone laugh. He is a fantastic whistler. I love to listen to him whistle.

But Alzheimer's is taking his abilities. It's taking his wit. It's taking him.

There are no words to describe how hard it is to watch this disease steal loved ones, and that is why we walk. We walk for Pappy. We walk for all victims of Alzheimer's.

The walk is Saturday, August 28th. Please consider donating to our efforts. There is a button on the top right-hand corner of this blog if you are interested. Any amount is appreciated.
