I almost started this blog by apologizing for my lack of posts lately, but I get so tired of writing that. Plus, I hate reading that when others say it on their blogs over and over again.

So, we'll just skip that part :-).

On April 15th, I helped host a super-fun baby shower for one of my closest friends. I've had a draft of a post all about it sitting in blogger for a week or so now, just waiting for me to edit and add a few additional details. However, yesterday, the little baby that we were so excited to meet and get to know - the one who the shower was for - went to be with Jesus at almost 38 weeks gestation. I won't go into details since it's not my story to share, but suffice it to say we are all devastated.

There are some things that are just impossible to understand.

After a bit of thought, I have decided to just publish the {raw} post about the shower. I don't have the emotional energy to read through it and fix it right now, but I want it as part of my blog. I want to remember the beautiful celebration we had for a precious little life. The post is back-dated to the date of the shower.

Our hearts are so, so heavy right now, but God is giving us the strength to put one foot in front of the other. We may not understand, but we do know that God loves us and is worthy of our praise. Always.

I'm so sorry for the loss of this precious child. I know you know that the baby is 'safe in the arms of Jesus' but it is still so hard for ones left here on earth. Prayers for you and your friends.
