Brianna is Twelve Years Old!

Making it to Brianna's birthday each year always feels like some sort of major accomplishment. While it's so much fun and I love having all the kids' birthdays close, it is an exhausting two weeks! It's hard to believe my sweet girl turned TWELVE years old. Next year we'll have a teenager . . . eeeek!

This year, Bri's birthday was on a Friday. Pretty much her whole life we've decorated for her birthday - including the mantle, hearth, and her bedroom door - the night prior to her birthday. This year, I decorated the mantle and hearth a few days early, and Chris and I completely forgot to decorate her door. She even asked me if Dad and I had been really busy the night before, and I still didn't realize what she was referring to. She finally said, "I'm wondering because my door isn't decorated," and I felt so bad! She was a great sport about it, though!

Twelve years old!

We decided to have her open her gifts as soon as everyone was up for the morning. She always has great facial expressions while opening gifts.

New hat!

Her "big" gift was a new pair of rainboots!

She still enjoys playing Polly Pockets with her sisters, and they were especially excited she got a new one.

Brianna's request for her birthday breakfast was pumpkin muffins. As soon as she was finished opening gifts, we enjoyed our special fall treat . . . in February!

Then, the twins had to go to school.

After the twins went to school, Bri and I had a little photo shoot. She has grown so much in the past year!

💜

Still enjoying the balloon arch!

Haha!

We took the day off from homeschool, and Bri spent the morning roller skating outside. She was thankful the weather was nice so she could do that. Then, we met Grampy and G-Jo at El Azteca for lunch!

This girl has been celebrating birthdays at El Azteca her whole life!

The twins get out of school an hour earlier than normal on Fridays. After we picked them up, all the girls spent part of the afternoon playing with their Polly Pockets and playing outside. I love that they can all play together right now, and I hope that lasts a long time. Later in the afternoon, they watched the live-action Mulan movie.

Brianna has lots of favorite meals, so it's always hard for her to choose what she wants to eat on her birthday. This year, she chose mashed potatoes and gravy, Ritz chicken, and corn.

Yum!

Bri and I had made cupcakes earlier in the day, so we enjoyed those after dinner. Love my four February babies!

Happy birthday to Bri!

It was another great birthday celebration, and that's not something I take for granted. These are days I truly cherish. Happy birthday to the girl who made me a mom. We love you so!
