Wild West Camp

The past few summers, Brooke and Brecklyn have attended Wild West Camp (better known as Cowboy Camp around here) at the Will Rogers Memorial in town. They have always had a great time, so we signed them up again this year.

Camp was M-T-W from 8:30am - 12:30pm. They were so excited to go!

There was a great group of kids this year!

Each day, they were divided into groups to enjoy various activities such as rope handling,

storytelling,

and stagecoach rides.

One day, they even got to play in water sprayed by local firefighters!

On the final day, parents and visitors were invited to come eat lunch with the kids and see some of the activities they had been doing at camp. Jeremy and Shawna were in town, so they (along with Grampy and G-Jo) were able to come see what camp was all about. Unfortunately, they couldn't stay long as stormy weather was rolling in, but the girls were thrilled to see them for a short time.

The girls also enjoyed having Caroline and Sadie at camp with them this year.

While the girls had a great time this year, they have already told me that they think they won't go back next year. They are on the upper end of the age limit for the camp, and I am definitely okay with that decision. It has been a great activity for them the past three summers, and we are all thankful for the opportunity they have had to go!
