TAG... I'm it!

I was tagged a long while back to write a blog talking about 10 random things that you all might not know about my life. For some of my newer friends, you may learn something, but for my family and long-time friends... probably just the same 'ole stuff!

I decided to include some old pics (sorry about the quality, they are scanned)... please don't laugh too hard!!!

Here goes!

1. I went to church camp almost every summer of my life growing up. I LOVED IT!!! I made a few friends that I still keep in touch with.

2. Until I was 16 years old, I had really long hair! I know these aren't the best pics of me, but you get the idea!

3. My wedding colors were lavendar and soft white. Chris and I were married in Chouteau, OK on October 20, 2001.

4. I was Valedictorian of my high school graduating class. I graduated in 1999.

Being the Valedictorian, I had to speak at graduation. Practically the entire town was there. I remember thinking over and over to myself "Don't pass out, don't pass out!"

5. I'm not a big meat-eater, and especially hate eating meat straight off the bone. I don't know why, it just kind of grosses me out!

6. I was in school band from 5th grade all the way through my senior year in high school. I played trombone and baritone.

7. I was 13 years old the first time I went overseas to Kiev, Ukraine. By the time I was 16, I was a seasoned world traveler. The last time I was overseas was Christmas and New Years of 2000-2001... but we are planning a trip to Africa this summer (more about that later!)

Bogdan (he worked as our translator a lot), my Dad, and me. Bogdan's grandmother told him he was dumb because he was no good at playing cards. The man could speak FIVE languages fluently, but yeah, he was dumb! Haha!

8. I LOVE Cabbage Patch Kids! I loved them growing up, and I still love them!

9. Nap taking is my favorite thing to do on a summer, rainy, winter, snowy, cold, windy, warm, or sunny afternoon! I could take a nap every day and be perfectly happy!

10. I HATE to feel warm breath on me! I don't even like my own breath on me!!! AND, much to my brother's dismay, my niece has inherited this trait from me! She hates it too!!! This picture has nothing to do with that, but look how cute she is!!!
