7 years

I'm long overdue for a blog post, and I have a lot to catch up on! Our internet has been down at home, and it's been over two weeks since I've posted. Beware... you'll be hearing from me a lot over the next week or so.

Seven years ago today, Chris and I were married. Wow.
We were talking last night about what we thought life would be like after we'd been married seven years. And how life really isn't anything like we thought it would be. In so many, many ways, it's better. I mean, seven years is a long time. Many marriages don't ever see seven years. Old, bickering, frazzled-looking parents of young children are married for seven years.

People ask us all the time if we are newly-weds (I'm sure because we don't have kids). Sometimes I say yes. Being a newly-wed is a state of mind.

We are incredibly blessed to have each other.

Below, I have posted photos of us through the years. It's so funny to see how we were just babies when we started dating!

Married 6 Years (2007)
Married 5 Years (2006)

Celebrating 4 Years in Eureka Springs (2005)

At the river in The Quah after *almost* 3 years (2004)

In Louisiana for Anniversay number 2 (2003)... having our anniversary during Fall Break in college had its perks!

Just after we celebrated our first anniversary... I love this picture.
The bride and groom... *almost* 21 years old, so in love, and so ready to be married to each other. We were juniors in college and broke. Some people told us we were crazy for marrying during college, but we didn't care. In fact, those years of being married and in college were wonderful. I'm so glad that we did it that way.

I love that we married in Autumn. It's my favorite time of year.

Here we are about 2 months before we were engaged (April 2001).
In the same pose (which cracks me up) in March of 1999. We were seniors in High School... and Chris was blonde! Look how happy I am!

Tomorrow, we are flying to Boston to celebrate our anniversary and Chris's new job (more about that later). We are super excited! I can't wait to bash around Boston!!!

Stay tuned for more posts to come!
