A little soldier love

My mom is always looking for good things to do. She's just one of those people who thrives on doing nice things for other people.

While I was visiting her this past weekend, she suggested that we (including my sister) go in together and do a Shoebox for Soldiers. Basically, her area of the country was collecting shoeboxes full of supplies (from a list that was published on the internet) to send to our American Soldiers fighting overseas.

We had so much fun buying fun (and some not-so-fun) supplies for the soldiers. We even decorated the box before we dropped it off at the collection site. They may not use our box, but we had fun decorating it anyway!

This is such a great thing. My brother-in-law is serving overseas in Afghanistan right now. I know they love to get packages. And I make sure that I decorate the outside of the box that we send to him. It's so fun. I know he loves to get stickers on his box! Thank you for doing something nice for our troops!
