Moving on up

For the last several months, my job (that I didn't necessarily love in the first place) has become busier and more stressful by the week. This was due in large part to the fact that we had several people quit around the same time. Instead of replacing those who were quitting, those of us who were left just inherited the extra work.

By the middle of April, I was doing the jobs of about 3 people (and getting paid the same, of course). It was really quite ridiculous.

However, as of July 1st, I left part of that ridiculousness behind and began my new position as Assistant Director of Admissions! Right now, things are still pretty crazy as I am training my replacements (I am actually being replaced by three people!) while trying to learn my new job. I am in a new office, with new duties, but still at the school that I love. There are definitely still some kinks that need to be worked out, but for now it feels like a win-win!
