Pumpkin Carving!

After heading to the pumpkin patch to pick out a few pumpkins, we were very excited to carve them and roast the seeds. Of course, Brianna didn't really know what in the world was going on, but she was anxious to see what Mom and Dad were up to.
We kept telling her that we were going to take the top off of the pumpkin and look inside. She loved holding the top and is saying, "Whoa!" in this photo:
She wasn't sure about sticking her hand in the gooey pumpkin, but gave it a try. After pulling her hand out, she promptly said, "YUCK!" and opted out of the doing that again.
It was, however, fun to watch Daddy pull the goo out of the pumpkin!
When Mommy tried to convince her to stick her hand in the pumpkin, she started to give it one more try, but changed her mind at the last minute.
She got a little bored watching Mommy and Daddy carve the pumpkins, so Daddy decided to let her help. Mommy wasn't really comfortable with this, but Brianna thought it was great!
When we sat her on the bench with our carved pumpkins, she promptly grabbed her little pumpkin that she had personally chosen at the pumpkin patch and said, "Mine." She didn't want her little pumpkin left out of the photo!
After carving the pumpkins, we roasted part of the yummy pumpkin seeds. We are loving these traditional Autumn activities!
