Freedom

Recently, I have rediscovered a little freedom in my life. What kind of freedom, you ask?

Well, freedom . . . in the form of this:

Yes! An awesome double-stroller!

Purchasing a double-stroller was one of those things that I went back-and-forth on quite a bit after finding out we were expecting Brenson. I didn't know how ready Brianna would be to walk "free" on outings at barely 2 years old, and I didn't want to spend the money (because good double-strollers are a chunk) if it wasn't necessary.

Well, as Brenson's birth drew nearer and nearer, I realized that there was NO WAY Brianna would be ready to be stroller-free anytime soon. She can mostly be trusted to walk along side of me when we are out, but it's that small part not included in mostly that I was concerned with. Also, I didn't want to be worrying about her wandering (or running, because that's what she's MUCH more likely to do) off while I'm trying to tend to Brenson.

After searching and researching and reading and reading more, I finally decided that the Baby Jogger City Mini Double would fit our needs perfectly, and I have been nothing but thrilled with it so far. It folds up nicely, is light, is easy to maneuver (I can very easily steer it with one hand), and most importantly, functional. And, no, I'm not being compensated in any way for this post . . . this is my honest opinion!

Both children enjoy riding in it. We love taking walks as a family in the evenings, and before we purchased the double, we were using our big single and an umbrella stroller. That worked okay, but this is so much easier.

Plus, now I take them on walks by myself if Chris is out of town or working late. We've even taken it to Hob Lob and Old Navy for a little shopping . . . places that previously I didn't take them by myself because Brenson's carrier wouldn't fit in the cart with Brianna. It's been so great to feel like I can go anywhere with the children by myself.

Although we paid a bit for this stroller, our hope is that we will be blessed with one or more additional babies, so we'll continue to need this stroller even after Brianna outgrows it. We'll see :-).

I can't wait to try it out at the zoo!
