Summertime Fun: The Park!

Not too far down the road from our house is an awesome play park. I had driven by it a couple of times, but had never actually taken Brianna to play there. One reason is that it is packed out every. single. time. we drive by. However, I had heard that if you go early in day then it isn't too bad, so my sis (who recently moved to the area from the east coast) and I decided to take the girls to play one morning.

We got to the park a little before 9:00am, and it was great! Not only was it not too hot, but there weren't many children there yet.

Doesn't it look like fun? This photo really doesn't do justice to the size of the place. It goes way deeper than you can see.

The girls are so different in so many ways. Brianna is fearless, while Chloe tends to be timid. Brianna loved the merry-go-round, and Chloe wanted nothing to do with it. Well, until she discovered that she could push it, then she did that for a long time. I finally had to tell B to stop riding it because she kept getting so dizzy that she couldn't stand after getting off. And, she was looking a little pale :-).

They enjoyed this ride. We kept counting down 3-2-1 Blastoff! over and over again.

This one was not as much fun to them, although the rides were pretty much the exact same.

Of course, the swings were a huge hit! Brianna looks sober in these photos, but she was having a blast. We just couldn't catch it on camera.

I actually spent most of the time sitting on a bench with Brenson while Lisa chased the girls. He looked so sweet in his little hat. He will love this place when he's older!

We were shocked when Chloe decided to go down this slide. It was high for a child's slide - so high that I wouldn't let B go down it - but Chloe loved it! So not like her.

B enjoyed crawling through the tunnels!

This place made me slightly nervous because it is so big, so when it started to get busier (around 10:30am) we left. There were just too many big kids running around for my comfort. However, we had a great time while there!

Since we had gotten to the park so early, we still had some time left before lunchtime. We decided to take the girls to a local farm type store because they often have live animals there (for sale). It didn't disappoint! They had baby chicks, geese, and turkeys in large bins that the girls could see. They loved it! We have gone back several times to see baby chicks. It's a short, fun, and free little outing that Brianna really enjoys.

We can't wait to go back to the play park!
