The Twinbies Have Arrived!

We are so pleased to announce the arrival of our twin baby GIRLS!

Baby A - Brooke Eliana Mae - was born yesterday, February 3rd, at 11:41am. She weighed 6 pounds and 11 ounces and measured 20 inches long. She came out easily after about 5 pushes and is doing well!

Baby B - Brecklyn Sarah Faith - was born at 11:47am, just 6 minutes after her "big" sister. She weighed 6 pounds and 5 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long. Her birth was a bit more dramatic as she was breech in the womb. My doctor tried to turn her, but after several unsuccessful attempts decided to deliver her breech. Her left leg came out while her right leg was stuck inside. He tried twice to pull the right leg down but was unable. Ultimately, he pulled her out by her left leg while her right leg was straight up her body with her foot by her head.

After such a traumatic birth, Brecklyn was stunned and not breathing well. She was taken to the NICU for a few hours for monitoring. Momma was also pretty stunned and torn up a bit physically. However, we are all doing okay now, and Chris and I are just trying to soak up every moment of the twinbies' newborn sweetness! Our hearts are so full!

Praise God for every good and perfect gift!

From one twin girl momma to another enjoy it, I just adore my twin girls and love watching them interact on a daily basis. You are doubly blessed.

It is such a relief for your kids to make it fully intact and whole. The birth trauma worries me though, and the potential side effects. Keep a close eye on your kids' development from here on out. I hope they stay well.
