Family Photo Session

Back at the beginning of November, we had a family session with our favorite photographer. I had been wanting to have family pics made for a while, but the thought of trying to do it with so many littles was a bit daunting. However, I knew that I would regret it if we didn't at least try, so I went ahead and scheduled a session. 

We had initially scheduled our session for November 2nd, but I had to postpone it because the kids had all been sick (and the babies were still). We pushed the session back a week to November 9th, and it ended up working out perfectly. The weather was gorgeous, the fall foliage was a little more vibrant than it had been the week before, and all the kiddos were healthy. I love Autumn, so of course I wanted to do an outdoor session with the awesome fall foliage as a backdrop. I do love these photos, but I will say that the leaves were not as beautiful this year as they've been in the past. Our photographer's parents own land not too far from our house, and that's where we met for the session. I recruited my sister to come along to help get everyone to look in the general direction of the camera, and that worked out well, I think. It was quite a job to get everyone coordinated, ready, and and into position for the camera, but I am so thankful to have these photos. It makes my heart full when I see how full our family photos look these days. God has richly blessed us!

This one is hilarious to me because everyone is laughing except Brecklyn. She was serious throughout the entire session, but she was especially over it by this point.
