One year ago today, Brooke and Brecklyn were born into our family. In twin circles, I often hear the phrase "We survived the first year" on the twins' first birthday, and - while there is certainly a little truth to that statement - this first year with our twins has been so much more than just survival. It has been a beautiful year full of joy, love, and abundant life.
It has been a year of sleepy snuggles.
It has been a year of sweet baby kisses.
It has been a year of crazy hair!
It has been a year of baby tears and precious pout faces.
It has been a year of forming sibling bonds.
It has been a year of holding hands (and sometimes feet).
It has been a year of finding mischief.
It has been a year of pooptastrophes (yuck!)
It has been a year of teamwork.
It has been a year of unforgettably sweet moments.
And, it has been a year of baby laughter and smiles.
Happy first birthday, Brooke and Brecklyn! This has been one {amazing} year!
