Something about being home for weeks on end has got me itching to do a few house projects. Anyone else? Yesterday, we finally got to doing a few things that I've been wanting to do for a while, and it makes me so happy!
The big project we tackled yesterday was some landscaping. Pretty much since we moved into our house I've wanted to spruce it up a bit in front of the picture window. Chris and I borrowed my dad's truck on Friday to pick up the supplies, and first thing Saturday morning we got to work.
Chris thought he was funny drinking his coffee while the kids worked!
They were great helpers!
Brianna, Brenson, Brooke, Brecklyn
The above photos are the only ones we took of the actual work process. Chris ran into a snag digging out the area we needed because of concrete overpour under the grass. However, our neighbor Willie from across the street saw him struggling and came to help. He probably stayed here for over an hour helping Chris dig and plant the trees. I was SO thankful that I didn't have to help move those trees . . . they are heavy! Anyway, after the trees were planted, Chris put in some decorative rock and spruced up our flower bed, too. I'm very pleased with the end result!
The black hose in the photo above will be buried soon. Chris ran out of time yesterday. Doesn't that look so nice, though?!?
