May Round-Up!

It seems May marks the end of several things for us . . . the end of track & field season, the end of school, and the end of spring. Here are some of the things we had going on during May!

May 1st is Lucy's angelversary (10th this year), so this month always begins with remembering her. It was a Sunday this year, and the Swearingens gave us what was left of the cake they had in her honor. We ate it after church services Sunday evening, and sent this photo to them to show our love.

Bren really enjoys going to our neighborhood pond to fish, and sometimes he'll invite Grampy to meet him there. They are good to take pics so we can see their catches!

We've also gone fishing a few times as a family recently. Brooke loves reeling the fish in!

Look at this monster!

The girls finished up their school year at our local elementary school this month, and I always appreciated getting photos of them from their teachers. Of course, the end of the year means lots of time outside!

Jeremy, Shawna, and Kaylee came for a visit after school let out for all of them for the semester. We got together for a few family dinners while they were here, but I only took this one family photo. Thankful to have it, though!

Miss C turned the big FIVE this month, so we celebrated with her at the Discovery Lab in Tulsa. It was a fun morning!

The next day, we went across the street to our neighbor's house to celebrate their twin boys' fifth birthday. They had a huge inflatable that kept Brecklyn and Brooke busy!

While we were there, I realized that my friend Amy's good friend Lauren was there, too! It's always fun to discover connections.

Of course, we're always blessed with amazing sunrises and sunsets. This one was a sunset.

One Tuesday this month, my friend Rebekah arranged a field trip for us. We visited the Philips Petroleum Museum in Bartlesville with them and several other friends. It was later in the month, so the little girls got to join us, too, because they were out of school for the year.

The whole group:
Brayden, Brenson, Ashlyn, Brianna, Hayden, Avery, Chloe, Brecklyn, Sadie, Brooke, and Caroline

This was a neat museum, and I'm really glad we got to go!

Philips 66 is a big part of local history!

My crew 💚

The museum was all but empty this day, so they even let us take over a conference room to eat our lunches we had packed.

What a fun day!

It started pouring rain as we were leaving the museum and rained buckets on us all the way home. When we reached our house, I let the little girls go out and play in the rain for a bit. They had a blast!

Our neighbor, Mrs. Mooney, is very special to us, and we try to do our part to make sure she is well fed and well cared for. She loves the kids and is always so grateful when they're willing to come over and help her with things. One day, a package arrived in the mail, and it was from Mrs. Mooney!

An ice-cream maker . . . YAY!

The last Sunday of this month marked a big change for our congregation as it was Russ's last day as our full-time minister. On his last day, the winds were very high and we ended up with no power during the majority of the service. Just another day in Oologah, haha. They will still be around for about a year - and he plans to still preach for us some - but this will be a pretty major transition for us.

My Brookie girl tends to lose her teeth in interesting places, so this month she decided to pull a tooth while waiting for an adjustment at the chiropractor's office. Because of course!

As always, it was a month full of blessings!
