Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a good weekend. We certainly did as we hosted our annual Harvest Party for our church family Friday night.
We've hosted a "Harvest Party" for our church family in the past, but we did not do it in 2020 or 2021. We thought this was the year to revive it, and we are so glad we did! Unfortunately, the turn-out was a little slimmer than usual as several of our members are dealing with illness, but we are still thankful for a good evening. It was nice that Jeremy & Shawna were able to join us this time!

Because it had been a few years since we've had this gathering, there were some people who attended that had never been to our house before. It was wonderful to share our home with them!
Nelda, Sherry, Kathy, Ed, Sammy, and Andy
Many of the men and children sat outside. We were thankful the weather was nice!
Bri, Jeremy, Chris, Paul, Jim, and Ross
Tia, Rebekah, Chelley
The little girls always enjoy the fire!
Caroline, Sadie, Brooke, and Brecklyn
Avery and Bren playing basketball
Several enjoyed playing cornhole.
Jeremy and Hayden were unintentionally matchy-matchy :-)
Initially, Russ and Lisa weren't able to come as Lisa had been having some severe pain and wanted to go get it checked out. However, they did end up coming about half-way through the party. We were glad they were able to make it even though Chloe was busy with marching band.
💗
Once it got dark and everyone came inside, several of the older guests left to for home. Those of us that were left enjoyed some singing and prayer together. What better way to bond with your church family?
This is always one of my favorite gatherings we host as it's much more low-key than our Backyard Back-to-School Bash, and we do a lot of the fun and cozy autumn things. I am so often reminded of how grateful we are for our church family!
