Hanging out with Cousin

After spending the week in Tennessee remodeling my niece's bedroom, we brought my nephew back home with us to spend a week. When Kaylee and JT were a lot younger, they came and stayed with us several times, but it's been several years since we've done anything like this. We had a great time with him, but having an 11 year old boy around the house is a whole new experience, haha!

Brianna thought it was pretty great having a "big brother" for the week. She learned to say his name really well, and thought she had to do everything he did. Every morning, she would ask for him almost first-thing. He was definitely her bud.
However, she didn't love sharing our attention with him. Whenever Chris and I would be talk to JT, she would do something naughty or disruptive to try and get our attention. One night at dinner, it was especially bad. We were talking to JT, and Brianna threw her spoon across the table then screeched/screamed loudly. I had sunburned my face that day, and JT said that he didn't think my face could get any redder, but when B threw that spoon somehow it did. Ha! He brought out a side of her that I had never really seen.

The following video was taken pretty late one night. I wanted to get a video of Brianna mimicking JT, and this was the best I could do. Of course, I had to strap her in her high chair just to keep her still enough to video. It really was cute how she would do exactly whatever he was doing though.


We really enjoyed having JT for the week. I have lots of pics from spending time at the pool with him that I'll post later.
