I'm not much of a baker, and I've never really like cooking either. I do cook a lot though because I have to. Brianna loves being in the kitchen and helping me while I cook. And when I won't let her help, she cooks up a storm in her little play kitchen.
So anyway, a few weeks ago we decided to make sugar cookies. I bought pre-made dough (yes, totally took the lazy way), and while it tasted super-good it was a real pain to use! Brianna didn't care though, she jumped right in and had a great time rolling it out and using the cookie cutters. In fact, she didn't really want help from me. She's an independent one!
Rolling out the dough:
Checking to make sure she was doing it okay:
She loved using the cookie cutters!
So many fun shapes :-)
Getting ready to put them in the oven. She actually wanted to do that herself as well, but I drew the line! Waaaaaaay too little for that still!
We did frost and eat them after they finished baking. They all completely lost their shape during the baking process and came out looking like a bunch of blobs, but they tasted yummy! Brianna is funny . . . she's not much of a sweets eater, so she didn't really care about eating them. No worries though, I stepped up to the plate to make sure they weren't wasted *grin*.
