You may remember that Chris and I are big fans of our local college basketball team. For the past several years, we have been season ticket holders and have attended {almost}every home game, as well as a few away games.
Last year, Brianna loved going to the ball games and cheering on our Hillcats! While we haven't made it to quite as many games this year, we have all enjoyed the ones that we have attended.
Every game, a few spectators are asked to play a game or two sponsored by local business. Usually, this is done during half-time and some full time-outs. Recently, Chris was asked to play one of the games. He had 30 seconds to try and make a lay-up, free throw, 3 point shot, and half court shot. With every shot he made, he won a progressive prize from Papa John's Pizza. Had he made the half court shot, we would have won pizza for a YEAR. Ummm, BLECH! Fortunately, we didn't have to worry about that :-).
When he went out onto the court during one of the full time-outs to play the game, Brianna got SO excited. She said, "Ooooh, DADDA!!!" while pointing and cheering for him. He ended up making the lay-up and the free throw, winning us a free medium pizza (so, dinner one night . . . not too bad). I would NEVER have agreed to go shoot the ball in front of the entire crowd, but that sort of thing doesn't bother The Hubs.
Hands down, Brianna's favorite part of the games is The Hillcat. She just loves him! I love this cute photo of her staring at him!
