If you are at all familiar with my blog, it's probably not news to you that I love to decorate my house for the holidays. I just love how cozy everything feels with soft twinkling Christmas lights and beautiful, sparkling decorations. Decorating for Christmas is a family event around here, and my kiddos have grown to really enjoy it as well. When we open our Christmas bins and start pulling things out, they act like they are seeing old friends :-). This year is the first year I can say that I feel like everything went really smoothly when decorating, so I guess that means my babies are growing up.
We have a whole collection of Christmas books that I pack away with our Christmas decor. As soon as we found the bin of books, Brooke and Brecklyn got cozy with the books and were as content as could be. It actually worked out perfectly because they were not in the way as we carried everything down from the attic.

After the books, one of the very next things we discovered were our fun Christmas hats and headbands that Uncle Jeremy bought us last year. We must be festive when decorating the house!
I replace all of our decor above our cabinets with Santa photos from years past. Brianna was my helper as I have to stand on the counters to reach the top of the cabinets.
Brecklyn also loves to help hang the ornaments!
I'm not sure Bren cares so much about hanging ornaments as he does about climbing on the ladder :-).
I adore my decorating crew! These are some of my favorite memories.
Ahhh, I love the view of my living room when it's all decorated. One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is snuggle up on the couch and enjoy a fire and the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree!
