LBBC Memories and Fun

During the second week of this month (and less than one week after I broke my ankle), Brianna and Brenson were able to go to a week of summer camp at Little Blue Bible Camp. Because of my recent injury, I wasn't able to go "camp shopping" with them or really help them pack much. Thankfully, I have people in my life who are willing to pick up the slack. My mom took them shopping (they really just needed cosmetics and snacks), and Chris helped them get all packed. Brianna even stepped up to keep up with the laundry to help make the packing job easier!

This was Brenson's first year to go, and I was really looking forward to taking him up there and helping him get settled in his cabin. However, with the way the camp is set up and my broken ankle, there was just no way I would be able to get to the cabins. Also, I knew I wouldn't be able to ride up there and back (a total of 8 hours) with my foot down and hitting bumps and such. I was SO disappointed, but it just wasn't going to work for me to help drop them off this year.

Chris, Brianna, and Brenson left early on Sunday, July 11th to head to camp. They stopped for worship services on the way there, and made it to camp around 2:30 that afternoon. I asked Chris to take photos of the kids in their cabins, and this ONE photo is all he remembered to take. Sigh.

Thankfully, Brianna's counselor, Kristin, sent me several!

This is Bri's third year as a camper, and she just loves it!

Lisa and Russ also sent me some photos throughout the week. It helps so much to get photos, and even more to know that Lisa and Russ are there, too!

Chris picked the kids up on Friday, July 16th, and sent me this pic to let me know they were on their way home. I think two little people were tired, lol.

While I'm very thankful that Bri and Bren get to experience camp, I miss them SO MUCH when they're gone. And I'm not the only one . . . the girls also missed them terribly! There was much rejoicing in our house when they got home!

Yay for having everyone back under the same roof again!

Brianna is already talking about going for two sessions next year, but I don't know if my heart can handle that. I just keeping telling her "we'll see", haha.
