July Round-Up!

July was quite the whirlwind of a month between holidays, travel, camp, and more travel. However, in between all the exciting things, we had a few other {somewhat} less exciting things going on, too.

Bren and Grampy have squeezed in a few projects this summer. I'm so thankful for the time that Bren has to learn from Grampy! This month, they completed a holder that will be mounted to the wall at the church building for the bulletin.

I wrote here about some of the adventures we had while the big kids were at camp. Well, the fun didn't stop there. On Wednesday after Bible study, we went with Ross, Tia, and Caroline to get ice cream. It was very warm outside, and the girls' ice cream cones were melting faster than they could eat them. Brecklyn and Caroline were managing okay, but Brooke was a complete mess . . . a cute mess but a mess nonetheless!

All the kids continued to participate in summer run this month. This is the first summer that Sadie and Caroline have joined us, so that's been fun.

Brecklyn and Brooke took a class with Mr. Randall last month and received t-shirts this month for completing the class. They put them on as soon as we got them!

We have a small garden on the side of our house that the kids (Bren, especially) loves to tend. We've been very successful at growing cucumbers, squash, and okra, and mildly successful at growing a few other things. This month, the kids made zucchini bread a few times with the fruit of their labors.

That moment when you arrive at Bible study and discover you're twinning with not only your sibling, but Ms. Rebekah, as well!

One Saturday this month, we went to visit Meme and Papa on their land. The kids love exploring on the land and discovering treasures!

Chris took the younger girls out to walk on the land and took a few photos.

Chloe came with us to Meme and Papa's for the day. I was glad about this because Chloe and her parents are moving away very soon and things have been a struggle lately between Chloe and Brianna. I think Chloe is having trouble processing everything - and I certainly feel for that - but I was still very happy for Chloe and Bri to have a good day together before Chloe leaves.

Goodbye July . . . hello August!
