We had buzzed through Dillards, Banana, The Buckle, The Limited, and were walking back through Dillards when I suddenly realized that I didn't have my purse with me! Eeeeeek! The Limited was the last place we had been, so we hightailed it back there to see if I had maybe left my money, credit cards, driver's license, ID, cell phone, and concert tickets for this weekend in the dressing room.
As soon as we walked into The Limited, the saleslady looked right at me (before I ever said anything) and said, "Oh, you left your purse here" and handed it right to me. I was so relieved to get it that I didn't even think, "Hmmm, how did she know it was mine?"
I didn't even open it to check to see if anything was missing!
I just grabbed it, said thanks, and resumed shopping.
Dumb, dumb, dumb!
A little later, the mall was about to close for the night, so we hit a Starbucks kiosk for our last stop to enjoy one of life's little delights. That's when I finally opened my purse.
Everything was out of place and it had obviously been pilfered through. I am a creature of habit. I have a place for everything and everything goes in its place... even in my purse. My wallet wasn't snapped shut (I never do that), my planner wasn't where it usually is (I never do that), my receipts that I keep in my wallet were stuffed in a different pocket (I never do that), my medical and dental insurance cards were moved (I never do that), AND my bankcard was missing! All together now...
I am not one of those people that ever just tosses my bankcard in my purse after I have used it. I always put it back where it belongs because I am scared of losing it.It was no where to be found.
So, we once again hightailed to The Limited where the salesladies of course didn't open my purse at all, much less open my wallet *rolls eyes*. I spent the ride home on the phone with my bank and Chris trying to get things canceled (our checkbooks for both of our checking accounts were also in my purse) so that someone doesn't steal our money.
Guess who's in timeout now?

You are the most purse-leaving woman I have ever met! Always drama, drama, drama with you. Maybe you should get it surgically connected to your body? I know a plastic surgeon in California that would probably do it.
Hey at least you got some really great red shoes out of the deal. And you got to spend time with me.
No really I have left my purse at Payless, church, .....I know I need to pay more attention, too.
Glad we got it before 9 when the employees go home on the internet.
Sorry that happened. Still enjoyed ya. You did great. I would of cried.
I know that had to have been such a hassle, but I'm glad you caught everything before someone had a chance to have their own little shopping spree.
But on a much happier note....I love, love, love those red pumps! They are adorable!!
I will share with you some comforting words that were shared with me one time when I lost my wallet: "At least you have money to be stolen" .... yea, it did not comfort me much either.
Great shoes! :)
I think I mentioned the fact that I was the one that wore the uniform in public. Why didn't you kick me in my face with some stilletos? Oh wait, you tried.
The tribble was thrown out along with those apology roses that he gave me after that one big fight. Ahhh...those were the days. Things seemed so much simpler then.
LOVE the shoes. So sorry about the purse. Bless your heart. Hugs!
