In late spring, we had purchased a small container of cherry tomatoes. Then, we went out of town and the tomatoes spoiled, so we threw them in the mulch bin.
Earlier this summer, Chris noticed a tomato plant growing where he had poured the soil from the mulch bin.
These photos are obviously from later this summer, after the plant(s) have grown quite large.
The plants have kept us in a steady supply of cherry tomatoes all summer long.
Kinda cool if you ask us!

wow, that's great! you have quite the green thumb! I tried to grow tomatoes last year....didn't quite work out.
This only happens when you don't work you mulch bin correctly.

Mow the yard next time on the riding lawn mower and you'll fill holes,too. I was raised on land and it is BAD when u hit a hole! I do agree that it is a guy thing.LOL
That is the coolest thing ever! Love it! If you need to get rid of some tomatos, I know someone you can give them to. ;)
I give away more than we eat, so anytime you want any Ang just come over and pick some.
