Brianna is 10 Months Old!

Happy 10 months to our sweet Brianna! You have been busy, busy, busy this month!

Brianna is obviously much bigger than Baby Kelly now, and starting to play with her more and more. I was so thankful to get a great shot of the two of them (Baby Kelly is the easy one, ha!) this morning.
"Momma, I reeeeeeeeeeeally want Baby Kelly's pacifier!"
Since Brianna was seemingly in a cooperative mood for picture-taking, I thought I'd try to get a few more shots of her in her Christmas outfit (we are headed to celebrate Christmas with Chris's family today). As soon as I took Baby Kelly out of the picture, this is the only face I could get! HA!
"I will sit like a lady, but I will NOT smile!"

At 10 months old, Brianna is wearing more and more of her 12 month clothing, although she does still wear some of her 6 to 9 month clothes. She is in size 3 diaper and shoe. At her doctor's appointment on November 19th, she weighed 20 pounds and 7 ounces (78th percentile for weight) and was 28 inches long (67th percentile for height). She is so curious about everything, especially now that she's more mobile. She pulls up on anything she can get her hands on, and will let go and stand on her own for 7 to 10 seconds. She loves to get into things in the kitchen...or really anything she thinks looks interesting :-).Brianna is consistently saying Dada, Momma, Baba, and Hi. She also says something that sounds similar to All Done when she finishes her bottle, and repeats all kinds of random words here and there. She can show me where her ears and mouth are, and loves to turn the pages in her books while we read. Her hair was getting so shaggy that I decided to get it trimmed again. She was so good and sat very still while Miss Stephanie cut her hair. Afterwards, she enjoyed this lollipop!Brianna now has two teeth on the bottom. Neither are in all the way, but they are slowly coming in more and more. She loves to try to eat anything we give her to feed herself, such as green beans, yogurt melts, cooked carrots, french fries (yes, I know, shame on us), etc. The only food she has ever rejected is grits. One night, we were eating with Ross at Cracker Barrel and I fed her a bite of grits. She promptly threw up as soon as they touched her mouth.
All day long, B will screech and laugh and squeal with delight. If she gets too quiet, I know that she's getting into something that she knows is a no-no. This is her classic laughing face these days:Brianna loves drinking from a straw, so I decided to introduce the sippy cup a few weeks ago. She loves that, too! She has never really liked her bottle, so she would never hold it herself. It's nice for all of us that she'll hold the sippy cup herself. She looks like such a big girl drinking out of a sippy *tear*.Nights are continuing to improve, and I can officially say we sleep through the night more than not! Brianna takes a short (45-ish minute) morning nap, a longer afternoon nap, and goes to bed around 8:30pm. She rarely sleeps past 8:00am.She brings more joy to our lives than we could have ever imagined!
