More Easter Fun

Our Easter weekend was so much fun (and quite busy). It's funny because before we had children, this was one of those holidays that Chris and I would kind of forget about. We certainly didn't do anything special for it, but that is totally different now.

On Saturday, we spent the day at Chris's parents' house. They live about 45 minutes from us. Brianna had a GREAT time playing with her cousins!

We had a small egg hunt for the kids. Brianna enjoyed it, but she didn't understand the "competition" part of it. She would find an egg, sit down in the grass, and explore the contents of the egg before going to find another one.

This is the only family photo that we got from the whole weekend. And yeah, it's not too great. But oh well . . . at least we have it!

Sunday mornings are always a bit hectic in our house. Even though we go to church as a family every Sunday, it takes a lot of energy to get everyone up, dressed, and out the door on time. So, Chris and I got up extra early in order to make sure we had enough time to do Easter baskets before church.

Brianna didn't really know anything special was going on until she saw the basket. Then she got excited!

Her dress is a hand-me-down, but I thought it was adorable! She loves wearing dresses and really prances around the house when she has them on.

Brenson looked so handsome! I didn't think dressing a boy would be so fun!

We really tried to get a photo of both children, but we never captured a good one *sad*. This was the best one of Brianna, but obviously Brenson was unhappy. He has a cute little fuss-face, though :-).

This was the only one where neither were crying or making a super-weird face. Humph.

After church, we went out to eat with our good friends, Ross and Tia. Then, they invited us to their house for an egg hunt. Brianna was the only one hunting eggs this year, but next year will be a different story. They are expecting a baby girl in about 6 weeks, and of course Brenson will be old enough to hunt then as well.

Brianna was still trying to open the eggs as she found them. The shirt she's wearing is one that I bought from Esty and included in her Easter basket.

Brenson got this sweet shirt in his basket. I like Etsy way too much *sigh*.

Ross and Tia totally spoiled Brianna (as usual) with all the eggs stuffed with goodies. Her basket was overflowing!

We had a great weekend blessed by family and friends!
