Happy birthday today to my hubby who is FORTY years old! I can't believe I'm married to a man in his forties 🤯!
Since Chris's birthday is on Halloween, his birthday celebrations typically get booted to either the day before or after his actual birthday. Welcome to parenthood where your kids' trick-or-treating takes precedence over your birthday, haha. This year, we decided to celebrate Chris's birthday the day before Halloween, which was yesterday!
I certainly didn't plan it this way, but celebrating yesterday worked out perfectly because Chris's coworkers also recognized his birthday yesterday (since most people aren't in the office on Saturdays). When Chris got to work, his office was all decorated for him. He sent me this photo :-)
After Chris got home from work, we had a big dinner with some of his favorite foods . . . meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, salad, and rolls. My parents joined us for dinner, and my mom brought the pumpkin pie for dessert.
The kids love celebrating birthdays! They made cards, pictures, and a banner for Daddy.
I had to get in on a picture, too!
Happy fortieth to my favorite man! We've been celebrating birthdays together for 23 years, and I hope we have many more 😘.
