Hello Spring Break?

Happy first day of Spring Break! We got an early start this year due to SNOW. We've had quite a bit of winter weather and snow this year, and truly I'm not sad about it :-).

Earlier this week, I heard that we might be getting some winter weather toward the end of the week, but I'm always reluctant to get my hopes up. As of yesterday, the forecast I saw called for a "dusting". I wasn't even sure if the twins would be out of school.

However, yesterday Coach Renee canceled track practice for this morning, and about an hour later I got the call that school was out due to anticipated weather. After that, all we needed was the actual weather to come! And it did!!!

This morning we woke up to big, beautiful snowflakes falling. It snowed most of the morning and about four inches accumulated. Of course, we had to get out in it for a bit!

It was snowing pretty hard and the wind was blowing, so the kids were having a hard time keeping their eyes open for pics.

YAY for snow!!! Yes, even on March 11, we're still happy about it :-).

The kids didn't stay out long this morning (the wind was kind of rough), but Brenson did go back out later. By the time I remembered that I didn't take a pic with them, they were already inside and peeling layers off. Chris was busy working, so I just decided to take a picture by myself!

The big kids and I did some school work this morning (after playing in the snow), and now we've all settled in to watch a movie together (Pippi Longstocking). We rarely do this, so it's a special treat, for sure!

I know many people are ready for warmer weather, but these kind of days are some of my favorites. Spring and warm weather will be here soon enough . . . for now I'm going to enjoy the SNOW!
