July Round-Up!

This summer is flying by! We just wrapped up a great July and have now moved on to August. Here are some of what kept us busy and blessed in July.  

Grampy walks every day, and he enjoys having the kids come along with him. Brooke and Brecklyn accompanied him on several walks this month. Their favorite place to go is to the RSU Nature Preserve because they often see wildlife there. 

Sadie and Caroline came over for a playdate one day while Bri was at her second camp session. It was a cool 107 degrees, so we decided to take the kids to the splash pad. I guess the heat kept most people away because we pretty much had the place to ourselves!

Another day, we were invited to swim at the Burkholder's house. We always have a great time with them!

Brooke and Brecklyn tend to let their room become a death trap of clutter and mess, and I will get tired of it (all of the sudden) and feel like it has to be decluttered and cleaned RIGHT THAT MINUTE. Of course, it always takes way longer than a minute! I tend to work by dumping everything in the middle of the room and then sorting through it all. 

During this process, Brecklyn tends to get very overwhelmed. I have to remind her to just choose one thing and put it away instead of looking at the big picture. Brooke, on the other hand, lives her best life and loves finding all the things she's forgotten she has.  

She reminds me so much of my sister at this age. She also reminded me of this meme!

Brenson, Brecklyn, and Brooke all participated in the summer reading program through our local library this year. They finished the program while Bri was at camp and received a certificate!

They also received a coupon for a free personal pan pizza which we prompted used! Of course, Grampy and G-Jo had to get in on the pizza fun, too :-).

This was the first summer Bri has ever gone to two camp sessions, and I sure missed my girl while she was gone! After she got home, we went to get pedicures and catch up on all the camp happenings. 

Grampy loves to come pick Bren up for the day and run around. One day, he and Bren decided to go to Muskogee to visit the USS Batfish submarine. Unfortunately, the submarine was closed for tours, but they enjoyed exploring the grounds around the submarine.
