The newbie

This past weekend, we finally got around to planting a new tree in the place of our poor tree that was burned. Now, when I say we planted, I really mean Chris did all of the hard work while I made sure he was doing it right :-)

We are so excited to watch this beautiful tree grow! Thanks Chris and Chris P. for planting it!

In other ridiculously exciting news, I FINISHED Ulysses tonight! Hooray! That was one of the most difficult, confusing, and strange books I've ever read. It feels so good to have met my goal of 1)reading it, and 2)finishing it by the end of the month. The next book on the list is On The Road by Jack Kerouac. I'm excited about reading it, but our local library doesn't own it. I'm going to check out our campus library to see if I can get it there.

It is hard to "supervise" to ensure we are doing it right when you are taking a nap!

I'm so impressed that you finished and on time! I know I don't have it in me right now to tackle that one. Good job!

You finished Ulysses! Joy Lin told me you were reading it - major kudos for sticking with it!

And your little tree was planted just in time for Earth Day!

I was supervising during my nap, too. So did you figure out why the book was called Ulysses?
