Hi, Everyone! I hope you had a great Easter weekend. For Easter being a holiday that was barely on my radar before having kids (we do not celebrate it a religious holiday), it has become one of my favorites! I love the traditions we have established.
One of the traditions we've had since Brianna was a year old is celebrating Easter with our friends, Ross and Tia. We've gradually added more to the group we get together with, and it's just a fun, laid-back, easy time. This year, Ross and Tia hosted brunch and an egg hunt at their house on the Saturday before Easter (April 19th). We never know what the weather is going to be like, but it was perfect for being outside.
I didn't take any photos of brunch, but the food was ready a little later than we anticipated. Because of this, we let the kids hunt eggs before we ate.

I'm not sure how I missed out on getting a group photo of all the kiddos, but I did at least get family pics!
This is one of my favorite family pics we've taken . . . love my little crew!
The Earl Family
The Swearingen Family
The Praschnik Family
After a delicious brunch, the kids looked through their eggs to see what kind of treasures they got. Then, we all went outside for several hours of visiting and play.
Love my little man!

Brooke and Brecklyn enjoyed Sadie's car
While the kids played and the ladies visited (and watched the children), the guys played basketball.
It was just overall a really great, relaxing afternoon!
I don't have any photos of this, but at some point we all moved to the backyard to let the kids play back there. The Swearingens have a play set with swings, a slide, a tire swing, etc. Ross was spinning Sadie, Brooke, and Brecklyn around and around on the tire swing, and Brooke started to complain she wasn't feeling well and all the color drained from her face. I figured she just had some motion sickness, so I had her sit down and drink some water for several minutes before we left to head home. On the way home, she acted kind of lethargic, but otherwise seemed okay. However, once we started driving through K Hill (just a few miles from our house), she threw up all over herself, her car seat, and the floor of the van. I had given her a plastic bag because I was afraid of this, but the poor girl missed the bag. UGH! She took a nap as soon as we got home (while Daddy and I cleaned up the nasty mess), and was fine after that. I guess it was motion sickness from the tire swing . . . I blame Ross, lol!!!
The next morning (Sunday), we got up a little earlier than usual and got the kids all ready for the day. Then, Daddy and I put out their Easter baskets.
Seeing four baskets in a row like this always gives me allllll the feels. I just remember praying and longing for babies for so many years, and I can never get over how blessed we are to have four living children!
The kids are always excited to see what their Easter basket holds!

The twins were excited to have more of these little Splashlings (they got some for their birthday).

This boy is all about Nerf guns and Hot Wheels :-).
And finally, before we headed to church for a normal Sunday, I took some photos of all my babies. WHY do they look SO big?!?

I also decided to try to get a family photo with a tripod and camera timer. I am thrilled with how these turned out!
