Happy April Fool's Day! I hope everyone is having a good day and not falling victim to too many tricks :-). After a January and February that seemed to move kind of slowly, March flew by! Here are some of the things we had going on during the month.
Brooke and Brecklyn have always loved to craft, and one of their favorite YouTube channels to watch is called 5 Minute Crafts. At any given time when I go upstairs to where our craft nook is, I might find all sorts of their creations. In the photo below, it looks like they were making clothing and a bed for their little baby.
February was such a cold and wintery month, so we were thrilled when March brought some beautiful weather with it. One day early in the month, Bren asked if he could do his studies outside. I told him I thought that was a great idea, and went out a few minutes later to find him set up like this in the driveway . . . soaking up the sun!
The twins celebrated Read Across America Week at school this month. They enjoyed the theme days, and I enjoyed receiving photos like the ones below from their teachers!
Remi, Tember, and Brecklyn . . . too cool for school!

Brenson's language arts curriculum has a baking project for us to do in every unit. This month it was yogurt bread.
Yum!
Bren also tried his hand at making paper as an activity for our Ancient Civilizations study. Daddy helped him with this project, and I was happy to be off the hook this time!
The big kids began their three times a week track practices at the beginning of this month. One morning on the way to practice, we ended up being right in front of the Burkholders who were on their way to school (they attend a private school in Owasso). Shana and I decided to have an impromptu coffee date as soon as we got our kids where they needed to go. It was great to catch up with her!
We enjoy many aspects of our homeschool co-op, but sometimes I find certain behaviors of the other members to be . . . interesting. One Tuesday, we walked in the building to this:
I sent this photo to Chris and {jokingly} told him this is basically homeschool co-op summed up in one photo, haha!
Lately, my parents have been picking Brooke and Brecklyn up from school on Thursdays and spending the afternoon with them. They love to play at Grampy and G-Jo's house, especially dress-up (complete with make-up!)

Sweet girls!
The children have all kinds of papers, projects, and artwork that they complete and give to me. I love to display these things for a while, so I typically tape them to the door of the Book Nook. When the door fills up, I take everything down and start again. I can't keep all the papers, so instead I take a photo of the door before cleaning it off.
This time, the inside of the door was filled, as well!
I think I wrote last month about how my dad did a clock project with each of the big kids. The clocks were made from wood that belonged to my grandpa making the project that much more special. The design Bren made for his clock was inspired by Star Wars, and it turned out really good!
I appreciate getting photos throughout the day from the twins' teachers, but sometimes I just shake my head and laugh when they come through. Brooke and her friend, Addabelle, are quite expressive in this one!

Brianna has a hoodie that's a soothing green color, and whenever she wears it, it really brings out the green in her eyes. So pretty!
March is the month when our spring activities really pick up, which is a nice change from the slower winter months. Just like with the grass, flowers, and trees, things seem to come alive for us again in March, and I really love the change of pace!
